Oak Hill Park - Anti-Social Behaviour

Good Evening,

Over the last few weeks we have been made aware of anti-social behaviour occurring in Oak Hill Park that has made park users feel unsafe.

As a team we will be looking to increase our patrols in the park with both plain clothes and high visibility patrols in order to identify any individuals and disrupt any behaviour.

At this time of year, as the darker nights draw in – we would like to remind you of some of the ways you can stay safe by:

Planning your route before you set off.

Sticking to well-lit areas where possible.

Walking with other people, such as colleagues, friends or family if you can. If on your own, try to use routes with heavier pedestrian footfall.

Carrying a light source, such as a small torch, if walking in darker areas.

Avoiding distractions – try to avoid using your phone and/or headphones when walking. This makes you less aware of your surroundings and can advertise items you have in your possession to others.

If you see something which doesn’t feel right or that raises your suspicions, then you can report it via 101 or online on the Metropolitan Police website. In an emergency please call 999.
